Follow along on our Journey to the Eternal City!
“The world is thy ship, not thy home”
– St. Therese of Lisieux
A travel blog through Catholic lens
We’re a Catholic couple doing our best to live out the faith in everyday life. The name of our blog is a reminder that this world is not our permanent home, our true destination is Heaven. It’s a perspective that shapes how we live, pray, and travel.
As we go through life, we try to seek out the beauty of Catholicism wherever we are, in sacred places, in the rhythm of daily life, and in the beauty of God’s creation. Whether at home or abroad, we look for ways to grow in our faith and learn more about Catholic history. When we travel, we center our plans around visiting holy sites, attending reverent Masses, and receiving the sacraments.
Together, we’ve visited 24 countries across Asia, Europe, Oceania, and the Americas, and lived in places like France, California, Washington, Connecticut, Alaska, and Puerto Rico. Each place deepened our love for the Church and reminded us of its richness, universality, and the wonder of the world God made.

They say all roads lead to Rome. Whether taken literally or figuratively, what was true in antiquity still holds true today. As we journey toward sainthood, our paths may differ, but they all converge on the Eternal City. And along the way, God can touch our hearts, often through truth, beauty, and the gifts of His creation and reverent liturgy.
Our goal is to share those moments with you, glimpses of grace in places you might not expect. We’ll bring you to awe-inspiring places of worship, like the Abbey of Lagrasse in France, where the monks’ angelic chant moved us to silence. And we’ll guide you to natural wonders, like a breathtaking sunrise on a secluded Puerto Rican beach, or the sight of whales breaching in the cold, clear waters of Unalaska Bay.
As you plan your own journey, we hope our website serves as inspiration for faith-filled travel and deeper encounters with God.
Yours in Christ,
A & D
